Keen's Farmhouse Cheddar
Keen's Cheddar, Somerset
The award winning Keen's Cheddar has been made at Moorhayes Farm since 1899 and has established its place as one of the few remaining examples of this king of cheeses. Being a traditional artisan cheddar it is made by hand in small batches. They use raw milk from their own grass-fed herd and a clothbound maturation of at least 12 months.
A hard and crumbly cheese to cut it quickly melts in the mouth giving a strong deep and tangy flavour, nutty and moreish.
If you like a strong cheddar with bags of flavour then this is definately one to go for. It will hold its own on a cheeseboard, on in a sandwich or melted in your favourite dishes; cheese on toast anyone?
